Mariah - September 12, 2018

Hi there, my name is Mariah and I live in the U.S. I’m dating someone who is 7 hours away in Kitchener Ontario Canada. I may be only 15, But I’ve learned a lot. Distance doesn’t ruin a relationship. Doubts do. So never give up on that special someone, because people fall in love in mysterious ways. LDRs are an amazing beautiful thing. It’s only a test!

Love ya’ll!

-Mariah and Cirric

    Lolo & Nate - September 12, 2018

    Wise words Mariah!

    Good luck!

LadyxoDeath - December 5, 2018

I met this guy that goes by Death online at my lowest point in my life and he’s been so…. perfect. He asked me to be his girlfriend three days ago and I said yes, but he lives on the other side of the country. I’ve tried an LDR before, but it wasn’t with someone I felt so connected to. I’ve fallen so completely in love with Death but I’m scared because I’ve never seen a successful LDR. I want more than anything for this to work, and could use the support. Everyone around us are too busy judging us instead of being supportive. Any advice is welcome, please. I just need some hope. I really love this guy.

    Lolo & Nate - December 7, 2018

    Hi Precious,

That’s definitely an interesting name that your partner goes by!

I can tell you that there are a lot of successful LDRs that turn into regular ones. We’re one of those!

But if you want more proof head over to the r/LongDistance subreddit and search for ‘closed’ you’ll see an amazing amount of posts, with new ones almost every day with couples that have successfully closed the distance.

There will always be people that will judge your choices. It’s up to you to figure out how much you want to listen to them.

    Good luck!

Nicole - December 30, 2018

My Fiancé just left to go on an LDS mission. It has been the HARDEST thing I’ve ever experienced. I’m not LDS so I think it makes it harder. I miss him everyday. The saddest part is not being able to run to him for comfort. It’s not like I can get a plane ticket and get to him. I am forced to stay away. If anyone has advice on how to survive it would be greatly appreciated!

    Mary - October 17, 2019

I am leaving for my lds mission in a year or two. Me and my SO have already talked about it and we both know it will be really hard but we can get through it.

      Lolo & Nate - October 19, 2019

      Hi Mary,

Lindsey - December 30, 2018

Kadee - January 2, 2019

Snow on the sahara -sung by Anggun
If your hopes scatter like the dust across your track
I’ll be the moon that shines on your path
The sun may blind our eyes, I’ll pray the skies above
For snow to fall on the Sahara
If that’s the only place where you can leave your doubts
I’ll hold you up and be your way out
And if we burn away,
I’ll pray the skies above for snow to fall on the Sahara

Checkout Between us (aurosonic mix) by Smart Apes if you can appreciate trance that is. Here are the lyrics:

When you wake up, I’m still sleeping in my bed
The difference in seven hours is between us
You are wearing my T-shirt
Well, I am wearing a coat
And you see a beautiful sea, but I don’t have it

Please close your eyes

Hilary - May 9, 2020

Hi! Thank you for the list and allowing others to give feedback. My boyfriend and I are currently in a LDR and one of the most beautiful songs he has sent means just brings me to tears is

“God Damn You’re Beautiful”
By: Chester See
There’s a clean version too titled “You’re Beautiful”)

On the days I can’t see your eyes
I don’t even want to, open mine
On the days I can’t see your smile
Well I’d rather sit and wait the while
For the days I know you’ll be near
‘Cause a day without you just isn’t fair
See the days I can hear your voice
I’m left without a choice
Plus I get weak in the knees
Fall head over heels baby
And every other cheesy cliche
Yes I’m swept off my feet
Oh my heart skips a beat
But there’s really only one thing to say:
God Damn you’re beautiful
To me, you’re everything
Yeah that’s beautiful, yes to me..

    Lolo & Nate - May 11, 2020

    Thanks for the suggestion Hilary!

Mary - November 20, 2020

Addie - November 22, 2020

Hey! Appreciated this post so much, as music is the thing that really connects me and my boyfriend! Currently in a LDR between the US and Sweden, and it’s hard, but without a doubt worth it. A song we listen to is NYLA by blackbear, it really captures the obstacles of an LDR, but also the positive aspects of being in love.

    Lolo & Nate - November 22, 2020

    Hi Addie,

It’s awesome that you both have a love for music.

Thanks for the suggestion, queuing NYLA up now!
